
Mike Rupe
Mike Rupe has over 25 years of experience representing financial institutions, private credit funds, and alternative capital providers in complex restructurings, special situations, and financing transactions.
From 2022 until joining Norm Law, Mike was Head of Special Situations at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft where he created, built out, and led each of the firm’s Special Situations and Capital Solutions practices.
From 2009 through 2022, Mike was at King & Spalding, where he became Head of Financial Restructuring, leading that practice group and advising significant creditor groups in high-profile, in-court and out-of-court restructurings, including liability management exercises. During his time at King & Spalding, Mike built out a team of 50+ cross-disciplinary professionals, helped expand the firm’s global footprint from 11 to 23 offices, and onboarded 100+ new clients.
Mike also previously was the Co-Head of Financial Restructuring at Katten Muchin Rosenman as well as a partner in Jenner & Block’s Bankruptcy & Restructuring group.
