Mike Rupe is a Partner and Head of Capital Solutions & Restructuring based in the New York office. Mike is a consummate dealmaker, well-known for his ‘cutting to the chase’ commercial and pragmatic approach to complex business and legal issues, extensive market knowledge, and vast industry network.
Throughout his nearly 30 year career, Mike has focused his practice on the representation of sophisticated financial institutions including, private credit funds, alternative capital providers, and other investors, in complex financing and capital structure situations that fall outside conventional transactions, combining restructuring, special situations, private credit / direct lending, opportunistic investments (including, liability management), and bespoke financings to develop and execute solutions across the entire capital stack.
Prior to joining Norm Law, LLP, Mike was Head of Special Situations at Hogan Lovells Cadwalader and Head of Financial Restructuring at King & Spalding. Mike also was a partner and leader at other top AmLaw firms.
