Sam Lipson

Sam Lipson is a Partner and Co-Head of Emerging Companies and Venture Capital at Norm Law. Sam advises high-growth technology and life sciences companies and their investors across a wide range of matters, from company formation through exit. His practice encompasses venture financings, mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, and general corporate and strategic matters, with a particular focus on serving as outside general counsel to founders and innovators throughout their growth lifecycle.

Most recently, Sam served as a Partner at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP. Before that, he served as Managing Director and General Counsel of a family office focused on early-stage technology investments and emerging venture fund managers. Earlier in his career, he was an emerging companies attorney at a leading law firm serving startups and venture capital. His clients have spanned technology, life sciences, fintech, and hospitality, ranging from early-stage companies raising their first rounds to established businesses pursuing acquisitions and public offerings.
