Troy Paredes is the Head of Capital Markets Strategy at Norm Ai and a member of the Norm Law Legal AI Committee and the Norm Ai Regulatory Advisory Board.
Troy served as a Commissioner of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) from 2008 to 2013 after being appointed by President George W. Bush and confirmed by the U.S. Senate.
Before serving as SEC Commissioner, Paredes was a Professor of Law at Washington University in St. Louis and a Professor of Business (by courtesy) at Washington University's Olin Business School, joining the faculty after having worked as a corporate lawyer at a law firm.
Paredes is the author of numerous academic articles on financial regulation, corporate governance, innovation, behavioral economics, and administrative agencies.
