David Sorin
Partner, Head of Private Equity and Venture Capital
David Sorin is Head of Private Equity and Venture Capital at Norm Law. He brings extensive experience advising companies and investors on securities law, corporate finance, and mergers and acquisitions.
Biography
David served as Managing Partner and built out WilmerHale’s Princeton office from 2001 to 2004, and before that served as the Founding and Managing Partner from 1993 to 2001 where he was responsible for establishing Buchanan Ingersoll’s Princeton and New York offices.
David co-founded a law firm in 2009, SorinRand. The firm was focused on serving start-ups, emerging growth, tech, and life sciences companies in addition to the private equity and venture investors who support them. In 2014, SorinRand merged into McCarter & English, after which David became Manager Partner of McCarter’s East Brunswick office and head of its VC and Early-Stage practice.
In 2022, David and his team transitioned from McCarter & English to Brown Rudnick where he became Global Co-Chair of the firm’s Technology group before joining Norm Law.
