Biography

Ben Lawsky is a member of the Norm Law Legal AI Committee and the Norm Ai Regulatory Advisory Board, and plans to join Norm Law as an Attorney.

From 2011 to 2015, he served as New York’s Superintendent of Financial Services, overseeing more than 3,800 institutions with over $7 trillion in assets and leading an agency of 1,400 employees. He co-chaired the New York State Cyber Security Advisory Board and represented the U.S. on the Joint Forum of international financial regulators.

Previously, he held senior roles in the New York Attorney General’s office, was a federal prosecutor in the Southern District of New York, and served as Chief Counsel to Senator Charles Schumer and as a Trial Attorney at the Department of Justice.
