Biography
From 2001 to 2011, Tom Glocer was Chief Executive Officer of Thomson Reuters, after serving as CEO of Reuters Group. He joined Reuters in 1993 as Vice President and Deputy Counsel of Reuters America and went on to hold a number of senior leadership positions, including President of Reuters LatAm and Reuters America, before being named CEO of Reuters in 2001 and CEO of Thomson Reuters upon its formation in 2008.
Currently, Tom is Lead Independent Director of the Morgan Stanley Board of Directors, a Lead Independent Director of the Merck Board of Directors, and a Trustee of the Cleveland Clinic. He is also a Member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Yale Law School Executive Committee, and the American Law Institute.
