Biography
Nir Fishbien is Tax Counsel at Norm Law. Nir’s practice focuses on transactional tax and international tax, advising domestic and multinational companies, private equity funds, sovereign wealth funds, founders, startups, growth-stage companies, and high-net-worth individuals on a broad range of tax matters, including M&A, investment structuring, financings, restructurings, tax planning, and cross-border matters.
Nir also maintains his own independent tax boutique, NFTAX LLC, which provides federal tax counsel on transactional, international, and planning matters. Before establishing his independent practice, Nir advised on complex transactions at Sullivan & Cromwell, White & Case, and Caplin & Drysdale, including public and private M&A, capital markets transactions, and cross-border financings. Nir also serves as an expert witness on a complex cross-border tax matter.
Nir has been recognized in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America for Tax Law (2026). He holds an S.J.D. and LL.M. from the University of Michigan Law School, with a focus on U.S. tax law, and an LL.B. in Law and Accounting from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He is admitted to practice in New York and the District of Columbia, and before the U.S. Tax Court.
